Bernadeth Pons is a highly skilled and accomplished Filipina volleyball player, born on October 19, 1996, in Malolos City, Philippines. Hailing from Talisay, Negros Occidental, Pons rose from humble beginnings to become a star athlete in both indoor and beach volleyball.
Pons’ athletic journey began with softball, but she transitioned to volleyball in elementary school. Her natural talent and dedication quickly propelled her to regional prominence, representing Western Visayas in the Palarong Pambansa throughout her school years.
After high school, Pons received numerous offers from universities in Manila. She ultimately chose Far Eastern University (FEU), where she made a significant impact on the Lady Tamaraws volleyball team. While pursuing a demanding degree in finance, Pons earned recognition within the UAAP, including the ‘Scholar-Athlete of the Year’ award.
Her professional career saw her playing for notable teams such as the Petron Tri-Activ Spikers, where she won the 2016 Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino Second Best Outside Spiker award. Currently, Pons is a vital player for the Creamline Cool Smashers in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).
Alongside her indoor career, Pons excels in beach volleyball. She represented the Philippines in the Southeast Asian Games, winning medals in both 2019 and 2021.
